Description
Baroota Wonder Wheat proves that new is not always better! Originally bred in 1906 as a dwarf wheat variety, this early maturing species is certainly not so small anymore. Due to it’s thin stems, Baroota produces soft high-quality hay or chaff for horses. This semi-awnless variety has excellent palatability making it perfect.
Agronomic Information:
- Sowing Rates 80-100kg/ha as a stand-alone crop or 8kg/ha as a companion
- Rainfall 400mm+
- Not suited to wet feet, ensure dry country for planting
- Suited to a wide range of fertile levels and soil profiles, performs best in well-drained loam.
