Description
Blast Ryegrass – Annual Mid Tetraploid is a mid to late flowering variety with an excellent winter/spring growth. This high producing, annual tetraploid shows strong early-season vigor producing high quality and palatable feed. Blast seedlings are quick to germinate and are extremely competitive once established. This variety is an excellent choice to over-sow rundown pastures, ideally suited for hay and sileage production. The increased cell size of this annual tetraploid ensures a higher sugar and moisture content than most diploids, making it a highly palatable and digestible product.
Agronomic Information:
- Medium to high rainfalls (450mm+)
- Suitable for irrigation or dryland
- Performs best in well-drained loam soil, however, is a well-adapted product with the ability to perform in a range of soil conditions and profiles
- Sowing rate 25-30kg/ha.
