This new variety to Bell Seeds has impressive root penetration allowing soil protection and helps prevent erosion. Pasat is proven to be faster to establish than other persian clovers on the market and rebounds quicker after a hay/silage cut allowing further growth and grazing potential. Its increased dry matter yields allow high hay production but also allows the ability for it to be used as a multi-graze option perfect for both Brown Manuring (chemical fallow) and Green Manuring (soil incorporation with tillage). Plant on its own or mix with long-season annual and Italian ryegrasses for a bulky pasture mix. Flowers 5-7 days after Shaftal making its flowering date around 170 days.
- Higher dry matter yield than Shaftal
- Sowing Rates 6-8kg/ha as a sole crop or 2-4kg/ha as part of a mix
- Rainfall min 500mm+
- Suited to clay soils, tolerant of severe waterlogging and mild salinity
- Low isoflavone content – no risk to breeding stock. Low risk of bloat
Coated with Group C Inoculant ready to plant.
