Success comes from strong foundations… A once well-known saying for Bunbury driver, Jake Fisher, he will put that to good use this coming weekend as he tackles the very first Excel Cup event at Carco Raceway at Wanneroo.

The speedway foundations of which his journey first started three short years ago will be set to serve him well as he begins the next phase in his motorsport career. The Excel Cup Enduro takes place with a massive field assembling to take on the well-known northern suburbs circuit.

Teaming up with Harrison Beres for this weekend’s event, they will get themselves fired up with qualifying for both drivers, and then each driver will have a 12-minute + 1-lap race first up.

Then the enduro race begins and goes for one hour + 1 lap of the raceway. An event that Fisher cannot wait to sink his teeth into, after months of practice at the venue and at Collie Motorplex.

Excel Cup, designed specifically for early model Hyundai Excel cars is hotly contested across Australia and Fisher intends to see where this event will take him in the division.

A big 12 months lie in waiting for the youngster who is carving out some strong pathways into what will be a very bright career in motor racing. And along the way, he will be learning so much and evolving into the hard-nosed racing driver he wants to become.
