As winter draws to a close for 2023, it hasn’t held young gun, Jake Fisher back from honing his driving skill in preparation for another big speedway season ahead.

At the annual Tom Green Memorial held at Ellenbrook Speedway over the weekend, he was at it again and against a healthy field came home with another top five finish.

His experience was on show right from the get go, starting from 13th in his first heat and finishing in 5th place. Winning his second heat from 4th was also a really pleasing highlight, as he dominated the race.

A further 5th place finish put him in good stead for the A Main, but on a difficult track he couldn’t make any ground on his 5th place start and came home in the same place.

As the biggest season if his career beckons, he has also turned his eye to the tarmac by purchasing a Hyundai Excel for the Speed Series run at Collie Motorplex, with an eye on his future.

He will be hard at the wheel, speedway wise with plans to head to Grafton in NSW for the 02024 National Junior Sedan Championship. More experience but for the young ace, a chance to qualify for another A Main.

With so much on offer, Fisher will be keen to sink his teeth into the ever growing JSRA series this season, seeing him head to many other speedway venues in WA. This year promises to be his biggest but also the best for his experience belt and one he will embrace with open arms.
