Description
Finerdan is a premium Photo-Period Sensitive (PPS) Sudan x Sorghum Sudan forage sorghum developed for producers seeking a reliable, high-yielding summer forage crop. Its fine stems and high leaf-to-stem ratio produce highly palatable forage while making hay production and round bale silage easier to manage.
The Photo-Period Sensitive characteristic delays flowering, allowing the crop to remain in its vegetative growth stage for longer. This extends the production window, maximises dry matter yield and maintains excellent feed quality, providing greater flexibility for both grazing and harvesting.
Finerdan recovers rapidly following grazing or cutting, making it well suited to multiple harvests throughout the growing season. It performs equally well in grazing, hay and silage systems and offers excellent management flexibility across a wide range of farming enterprises.
Grown and processed in Western Australia, Finerdan seed is treated with Thiram and Gaucho to support strong establishment and early crop protection.
