Description
Bentgrass (also known as Browntop, New Zealand Bent, or Highland Bent) is a fine-textured, dense cool-season grass traditionally used for lawns and golf greens. Though less common in your home lawns today due to its high maintenance needs, it remains ideal for close-mown, high-care areas like greens, tees, and fairways. Its aggressive growth pattern contributes to its high traffic tolerance. Best suited to cool or temperate climates, it tolerates partial shade and recovers quickly from renovation. With its medium-green colour, excellent year-round quality, and exceptional density, Bentgrass performs beautifully under short mowing and consistent care.
