Description
Six Point Chicory is a perennial herb with some drought tolerance suitable for temperate areas. With its deep tap root, Chicory has been known to break up mild hard pans and draw moisture from deep within the soil profile. This ability allows the plant to produce quality forage once established. Chicory won’t grow as aggressively through winter however it more than makes up for that through spring, summer and autumn. This highly palatable herb provides a great option for out of season finishing, containing high nutrient and energy levels. Pairs well with plantain, forage rapes and persian clover helping to bridge that feed gap from spring through to autumn.
