Description
Wonambi is a new and exciting triticale new to WA and even new to Australia. Performing well in Tasmania’s Hyper Yielding Cereal Trials showing results in excess of 10T+ in grain yields. This tall and powerful variety is a great option over your other wheat varieties due to tolerance to waterlogging, better leaf disease resistance and greater tolerance to acid soils between 4.6-4.7. Triticale offers superior forage for grazing, hay, silage or as a cover crop. Wonambi combines the yield potential and grain quality of wheat with the disease and environmental tolerance of rye.
